The Prayer Cards are Here, the Prayer Cards are Here!

Yes, we have received our Prayer Cards--hot off the press from El Salvador! Many thanks to William Flores, our Salvadoran brother and minister of music at VidaNueva Baptist Church, who designed our cards and took care of the printing. Jeff and Paula provided the delivery service as they are back in the States for Emily's birthday and Justin's college graduation.

So far we've passed out at least 8 of them--only have 992 left to distribute. Let us know if you would like us to send you one. The most important thing about the prayer cards is your prayers!

The deed is done

Stephen has now announced his retirement and he's a short-timer at the bank. It's so exciting to see how God is working to accomplish this amazing change in our lives. His last day is Friday, May 14. He may be sorry to say goodbye to friends with whom he has worked for the last 29 years, but I know he can't wait to move on to our new adventure.

Save the Date

Well, there's going to be a big sale on May 21-22! We need you to come buy some of our "stuff." Thanks, Tim and Kathy, for talking with us about pricing furniture and volunteering to help the night before the sale. We're probably going to be selling both of our pianos, so please let us know if you're in the market for a baby grand or a regular console piano.

I can post pictures if you want to see them.

Lists and more lists

The enormity of the move is starting to sink in! I have list after list of things to do and not a lot of time to do the things on the list.

Daniel, Shannon and Maleia were here this week. Daniel went through all of his boxes in the basement. I spent all morning in the basement going through other boxes. Stephen joined me in the afternoon and, at least, we've made a dent in getting things organized in to categories.

There is an open house tomorrow afternoon so we're praying that God will bring the right people at the right time.

April 11--Presentation to the Church

Everybody knows . . . .

Pastor Steve asked those of us who went on the El Salvador mission trip this past March to share in SS today. We started with the DVD Jeff and Paula made. John and Kay shared their stories from the trip (and past trips) and then Terisa talked about how it felt to be on her first trip ever. Stephen and I started by letting people know about the most recent trip and then announced that we will be heading to the mission field in El Salvador.

Sunday night Pastor Phil shared the El Salvador video and then introduced us to the church as new missionaries. Stephen did an awesome job sharing about our call. I added a few words, too. Pastor Phil prayed for us and then Stephen sang "No Sweeter Name." He first sang through the song in Spanish and then in English. Steve Guenther later told him, "that was the best I've ever heard you sing." It was great to have my Dad there for the service, too.

We're so thankful to our church family and are excited about bringing everyone along on our journey.
